Hi! I’m Courtney,
My passion in life is helping people realize their financial goals are in reach if they spend a little time adjusting the sails. I love seeing the excitement when a person understands they really do have choices, and they can choose to be financially free.
My start:
I started out where most of you are. Never being formally taught this information, signing up for a credit card just to get the free t-shirt on my college campus, and not paying close enough attention to the loan documents I was signing to pay for college. I heard about Dave Ramsey after college, bought a reliable used car, lived below my means, but I still bought my first home while in debt and without a fully funded emergency fund. As you can tell, I was better, but there was still room for improvement!
Turning point:
My turning point came when I was in my mid 30s, wasn’t married, and didn’t know if I was ever going to be. I knew I needed to make some changes to secure my financial future, and it was up to me to make it happen! In 2.5 years, I paid off over 125K worth of debt by increasing my yearly income from around 60K to close to 100K through side hustles.
Teaching others:
That’s when I realized I was onto something monumental. I too realized financial insecurity did not have to be a part of my story or any other person’s who was willing to take a different path. Once I realized I could combine my natural talents, “teaching”, with my own professional and personal experience... My coaching business was born.
